Building a community is hard work…but so worth it!
We are not alone
…not all the time!
This month I shared on my social media that I didn’t have any participants to join me in the Worksheet Mastermind. It might have been because I didn’t take the time to effectively promote it, my reach was not effective or my pitch was not effective and people just don’t see the value. But you know what, that’s ok. I know change is the only constant and it will not be like this all the time!
I created the Worksheet Mastermind to support others in developing and designing their own worksheet. I take them through the process, from beginning to end. If no one is there to join me, I commited to doing it anyways. I promised to give my DTWBulletin subscribers a free worksheet every month. So while I am helping someone else or not, I am doing the work in any case!
A new Guest
In the Worksheet Mastermind last month I had someone join me who has been a subscriber to my DTWBulletin email list for 2 years. We had never connected except for that over the course of the years and he remained in my community. Chris finally decided to connect and signed up to join the Worksheet Mastermind and I was absolutely thrilled that he had!
We went through the mini course together, along with another participant (who I also appreciate and am grateful for attending). In my private Facebook Group I shared my progress developing my own worksheet. Chris apologized for being late to start on the Monday but immediately caught up by sharing his progress. Chris participated by commenting in the group with his ideas for his worksheet. He worked through all the steps and provided everything that I asked for. He even took the final step and designed his worksheet in the program of his choice. Throughout the week I gave him my feedback and encouragement to keep going. Chris was not able to attend the live call at the end of the week due to other commitments so we scheduled another time to have a virtual call to review the mastermind.
A DELIGHTFUL Meeting
It was such a pleasure speaking with Chris on our call! Not only did I continue to support him with his worksheet, he did his best to support me with my work and suggested I present the Worksheet Mastermind in a live workshop setting! I value his feedback and appreciate his advice. My goal this year is to get out there! So I will be exploring his suggestions to reach out into my own local community to present this course. He sparked creative ideas for me to prepare my new Worksheet Workshop format that would serve me (since I am not by any stretch of a public speaker and thinking about hosting a live workshop scares me to death!) I also love the idea that it will serve my local community as well.

I participated in the Worksheet Mastermind with Theresa. The session was structured and presented in the perfect amount of time for me to complete my worksheet. The daily homework helped me to stay on course and “do the work”.
The Facebook group was my favourite part, and I don’t even like Facebook! The daily course videos sent to my email taught me what to do and the videos in the FB group showed me an example of what to do. The process was supportive, motivating and easy.
I like to work in collaboration with a partner or designer with this type of project and even though it was a group session and we never spoke or met before, I felt seen! I wish others could see Theresa’s value and participate in this mastermind more often.
After the session we scheduled a call to discuss how the week went and Theresa provided me with even more feedback on my worksheet. I am no designer, but I am really proud of how my worksheet turned out.
I look forward to collaborating with Theresa again.

Feeling Seen
On our call while talking about his experience in the Worksheet Mastermind, Chris said to me he “felt seen” during the session. I was absolutely ecstatic! This is exactly why pulling together a community is so worth it! It takes a lot of work, you have to put yourself out there, and sometimes your community won’t show up! But when they do, it takes all the effort and vulnerability out of the equation and you feel SEEN yourself!
